The word “verified” should tell you something
Open the badge. See exactly what we checked.
A microchip alone cannot tell you whether a seller is a dealer or whether the dog came from the address in the ad. That is why every live listing must pass the full chain.
01 · Publication gate
Six barriers stand between a seller and a live listing.
- 01
There is a real person to answer for the listing
We match identity, liveness and contact details. Buyers see a safe public name; Doggos privately retains the identity behind it.
- 02
The dog is tied to one checked Irish premises
We check the address, the seller’s right to use it and current prompted evidence of where the dogs live. An unapproved address cannot publish a listing.
- 03
The records belong to this dog—not just any dog
Current prompted evidence must match the dog, dam, litter, microchip and ownership records. Reused evidence and stock photos are held for review.
- 04
Health claims have names and records behind them
Required parent tests depend on the breed and must match the named parent and issuer. Uploading an unverified document is not enough.
- 05
Old evidence does not stay ‘verified’ forever
Identity, premises and organisation checks expire. If a required check lapses, affected listings are automatically held.
- 06
Opening a new account does not erase a ban
Enforcement can follow a person, organisation, contact or premises fingerprint. Matching attempts are blocked or sent for manual review.
02 · Who gets through the door
Doggos is free to list on. It is not open to everyone.
We accept registered rescues, small Irish breeders with no more than five breeding females, and genuine long-term owners rehoming an adult dog. Dealers, brokers, pet shops, imported litters and high-volume breeders are prohibited. Paying cannot buy acceptance or a better place in the results.
Check seller eligibility03 · Enforcement
One credible concern can stop a listing while we check.
Credible welfare, identity, premises or trafficking concerns can place a listing or account on immediate hold. Reviewers preserve evidence, record reasons, notify the affected party and provide an appeal route. Serious concerns are escalated to the appropriate authority; Doggos does not present itself as law enforcement.
Confirmed bans attach to hashed or encrypted subject identifiers. Matching attempts are blocked or routed to manual review without revealing the match logic publicly.
04 · Buyer checklist
Our checks get you to the door. Your visit confirms the reality.
- Visit the verified premises shown inside Doggos—never a car park or delivery point.
- For a puppy, see the whole litter interacting with their dam.
- Open every check and note its date; do not rely on the badge alone.
- Ask about health, temperament and lifetime return support.
- Do not pay a deposit before visiting. Keep communication on-platform.
- Walk away and report pressure, changed locations or inconsistent documents.
