Rescue listings are mirrored, not verified
Most dogs on Doggos today come from the rescue directory: we read 376 dogs from 42 of the 131 rescues, shelters and council pounds we track across 20counties, and link each one back to the rescue’s own page. None of those organisations has been through Doggos verification, none carries a verification badge, and the counters above deliberately exclude them.

Our promise, without the fine-print trick
Puppy farms are prohibited, but no verification process can promise that deception is impossible. What we can promise is concrete: a listing cannot publish until its required evidence passes, you can inspect that record, and a credible concern can trigger a hold and human review.
